EDWARD GORDON BYRNE August 5, 1932 - July 10, 2005 It is with great sadness and sorrow that the family announces the sudden passing of Edward Byrne on Sunday, July 10, 2005. Also left to mourn his passing are his brothers, sisters, his in-laws, as well as his many nieces and nephews. Ed was born August 5, 1932 and spent his career with the Canadian Armed Forces and Corrections Canada. Ed was a generous individual who would give of his time to anyone and everyone. He was a wonderful friend to all who knew him and what he cherished the most was his family. A special thanks to Rita Lacoste, Jim and Lenore Byrne for their care and compassion. Also thanks to Dr. J. Fox, Dr. Kashour and Dr. J. Krcek and the nursing staff at Health Sciences Centre. As per his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 14 at 10:00 a.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. No. 1 E. at Navin Road. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice. We've had a great deal of wonderful memories growing up. You made everything so special and magical. And even though we're older now we still cherish the memories of those special times. Who we've both become and our lives today are reflections of you. Your gentle hand of guidance has led us down successful paths in our relationships and work. You have always been there for us when we have faced life's struggles. You've always been one of the most important people in our lives and in memory always will. And even though we are apart we know that we can always look within our hearts and find you there. We will deeply miss you. Jim and Keith GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery Hwy. • Hello Joan, Keith and Jim It was with sadness that we heard the news of Ed's passing. Keith and Jim you could not have said it better in your tribute to your Dad. My family and I also have fond childhood memories. Just last summer I had an opportunity to visit with your Mom and Dad again and as always it was a pleasant visit. Your dad gave wonderful hugs and was a genuinely nice man. I also enjoyed his quirky emails. Please accept our deepest sympathies.
